Paragliding is certainly not for everyone, but those who do have the courage to take part really do seem to love this exciting sport. A paraglider is a free flying and foot launched aircraft that can be powered, but is usually unpowered in nature. The basic craft consists of a fabric parachute-like wing, suspension lines, and a suspended harness for the pilot.
